Native to the tropical American regions, the King of the Forest is a shrub with large course leaves and yellow flowers that grow upright. In Jamaica this medicinal plant is used as a tea. Made from the leaves of the plant, the tea will clean and rebuild the body’s system.
The medicinal properties of King of the Forest are immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, analgesic, anti-fungal, and antimicrobial.
King of the Forest has been used to treat inflammation, asthma, bronchitis, coughs, colds and flu, fever, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, scabies, stomach ailments, constipation, liver conditions, high blood pressure, liver spots, acne, impetigo, and bites that are venomous.
The leaves can be crushed and applied to the skin for various skin conditions related to fungus, parasites, and infections.
Used as a tea for its immune boosting properties. This tea will help to prevent or shorten the duration of symptoms of viruses, colds, and the flu.
Recommended dosage: 1 tbsp of herb to 1 cup hot water, steep, drink, repeat.
